Vehicles in German City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police Confirm

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Authorities mentioned they were alerted by a man who found a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish substance

Roughly fifty cars have been marked with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Automobiles, walls and postboxes were vandalized, sometimes with swastikas, they reported in a official communication.

Officers report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday, when a individual observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a reddish fluid.

The liquid had been placed in the shape of a swastika, they reported.

Police then discovered multiple other marked cars and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are banned in Germany under regulations banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Police state early analysis show the liquid was most likely blood from a person.

"At present there remains no lead as to its origin; officials are currently not cognizant of any harm in connection with the incident," they commented.

City officials stated they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have requested to the residents for information.

An important representative stated the incident left him stunned and needed to be addressed rapidly.

"This event hits the center of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the far-right terrorist attack half a decade ago," he posted on social media, referring to the murder of nine people by a shooter focusing on people of migrant background in 2020.
